How are you doing? Hopefully great! But sometimes life is hectic and you feel you’re running behind no matter what you do. Do you get stressed? How do you handle that? I think this is a very important life skill that all should have. I know there are a plethora of self-help tools available but I know of something better. And I am not talking about handling stress, I am talking about taking on strength like no other.

He gives power to the weak
    and strength to the powerless.

(Isaiah 40:29, NLT)

As Christians, we have power like no other. We should never forget that. Otherwise, we will be filled with worldly worries and get stressed out. But that’s not what God intended for us. He wants us to be filled with his peaceful spirit instead.

Take on strength…

Sean Smith has said, “We often get stressed out not because we take on too much, but because we take on too little of what really strengthen us.” I couldn’t agree more. We do not stress because we take on too much, but because we take on too little of God’s goodness. How can we rectify that?

In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might. (Eph. 6:10, AMP)

Truly, we need to draw our strength from God by praying and reading the Scriptures. When we abide in Jesus, we will be empowered by God. Each morning I go to God and surrender all that I am and all that I have to him. Then I ask him to fill me with his strength, wisdom, and power. While doing that, I am reminded that I truly can do all that is needed that day because God will go with me, and keep on empowering me along the way.

…like no other

Try this. It will change your life. Do not focus on the size of your troubles. Instead, focus on the mighty of your God. Do not worry about the amount of tasks you have as long as you keep on being empowered through your union with Jesus.

We have not been left to our own devices to manage as well as we can. God has promised to be with us every single day of our lives. Please, do take up his offer. Be empowered by God’s grace. Daily, hourly, momentarily. Enjoy his presence and love. Nothing quite like it. Take on strength like no other.

Gracious God,
We love you.
Forgive us for forgetting you and getting unnecessarily stressed out.
We surrender to you and ask you to fill us with your love, grace, and peace.
Empower us for your service, to love our neighbor, and fulfill our tasks.
Thank you for being our strength.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen

P.S.

How are you really doing? I would love to hear from you. It’s been a while! Be abundantly blessed wherever you are! I keep on praying for all my readers to remember to take on strength like no other!

Then the one (Gabriel) whose appearance was like that of a man touched me again, and he strengthened me. 19 He said, “O man, highly regarded and greatly beloved, do not be afraid. Peace be to you; take courage and be strong.” (Daniel 10:18-19, AMP)
