Ascension Day is upon us. It means it’s 40 days from Easter. How have you used that time? Have you embraced the resurrection joy? Are you closer to God? Every day we are one day closer to heaven, let’s make our days count. The resurrection changed everything in the history of humankind. It can change everything for us if we just allow Jesus to raise us from the dead too.

The resurrection was and is all God’s doing. We have an active God. We are blessed to be the happy recipients of God’s generosity. God is not a distant far-off ruler, he is a loving hands-on Father who cares about how we’re doing.

The same power that resurrected Jesus is in operation in our lives. How special is that? Resurrection is not a thing of the past. It’s very much a thing of our personal lives. Without God, we are lost. With God, we will find our way. Let’s make our days count by using God’s power for his glory.

But we thank God for giving us the victory as conquerors through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. So now, beloved ones, stand firm, stable, and enduring. Live your lives with an unshakable confidence. We know that we prosper and excel in every season by serving the Lord, because we are assured that our union with the Lord makes our labor productive with fruit that endures. (1 Corinthians 15:57-58, TPT)

Let’s make our days count

For real, God calls us to stand firm, stable, and enduring, for he is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. To live our lives with unshakable confidence, for God is with us and for us, and in us. How blessed we are that we are even called to do everything in God’s very own power (and not our own).

Or how do we respond to God? Do we dare to allow God to resurrect our lives, and our relationships, and live boldly dependent on God’s power? And do we let Jesus raise our hopes, dreams, and, most importantly, our faith? It’s time, isn’t it? Let’s make our days count by putting God’s power to good use.

I can’t imagine living without Jesus. Only he has the words of eternal life. The words of life, light, and love. They are for you and me. Receive life, light, and love in Jesus’ name and be abundantly blessed. Now and forever.

Dear God,
How good you are to us!
Thank you for the resurrection of Jesus and thank you for wanting to resurrect us.
We accept your offer of redemption, pour out grace upon grace.
Thank you for being a hands-on father, we do need you.
Guide us, use us, empower us, and may your will be done.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

P.S.

Has your joy of the resurrection already diminished? It’s time to wake up. The Ascension Day reminds us of Jesus coming back just as mysteriously as he left the visible world. Let’s be awake and ready. It’s time to stand firm and stable. Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you wait for the Lord!
