We have only a few days left of this year. How do you feel about it? It has been a tough year so saying goodbye is not a hardship, right? But we have no idea how the new year will turn out. So it’s a bit scary, am I right? But know nothing is scary with God. Without him, the future is scary. But the future with God is supreme.

With God, I am ready for anything. You see, we might have heaps of problems and confusion in our life but God does not. With the words of Corrie ten Boom “God has no problems, only plans.” And that’s true for us too when we live with God. So future with God is secure.

Who is among you who fears the Lord,
Who obeys the voice of His Servant,
Yet who walks in darkness and has no light?
Let him trust and be confident in the name of the Lord and let him rely on his God. (Isaiah 50:10, AMP)

It doesn’t matter how dark the world is or how foggy the future seems, God is with you. God sees in the darkness and God has no problems, only plans. He will reveal them to us when the time is right. We can trust him and his goodness. Future with God is the ultimate best for each of us.

The future with God

Ann Voskamp writes “Sometimes we want greater clarity when what we need is deeper trust. Life is always clearer when you press closer to Him and see your life through the sheer love of God. Whatever problem lies ahead of you doesn’t compare to the power of the Person behind you.”

God has no problems and he is much bigger than your problems. So when you live with God, you don’t have problems either (when you remember to bring them to him). If you’d like to know what happens in the future, seek God. He knows everything and He is everything you need.

The closer to God you get, the clearer you see your life and the less scary your future seems. It is amazing how it works but it does. The beauty, the power, the love of God is astonishing. And so is your future with God.

Dear God,
Thank you for not having problems, only plans.
We dump our problems, fears, and confusion at the foot of the cross.
Create something beautiful out of them.
Clear the path for us, show us the way.
We surrender ourselves, our lives, and our future to you, Lord.
Use us for your glory, bless us as you see fit.

Isn’t it amazing how good we have with God? I absolutely love walking with God. There is no reason for fear when we are with God. He knows what he is doing and his plan for each of us is good. So we don’t need to know what will happen. We know whether we live or die, we are with God. And there are better things ahead than behind us. So live in Jesus, live in his grace and peace.
