The fear of COVID-19 has made many people rethink their views on eternity and many are earnestly seeking spiritual well-being. They want boldness to live (and die) but they don’t know it does not come separate from grace and peace. Wanting boldness without faith is like putting the cart before the horse. Grace, peace, boldness belong together. Because together they equal fearless living.

Positive thinking does not kick the fear of dying out of the picture but God’s grace does. If we have not been made right with God, we will not have peace. But if we come to God with a repentant heart, we will receive grace upon grace and it cleanses us from all unrighteousness. And peace beyond understanding follows. Only then we are ready to set out in boldness. That’s fearless living for you.

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. (Romans 5:1-2, NLT,*)

Grace, peace, boldness belong together and they create spiritual well-being within us. Talk about blissful harmony and soothing balance. This is what it means to live carefree before God. It means we are loved, cherished, and empowered for victorious living. Life with God is a blessed adventure.

So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God. (Romans 5:11, NLT,*)

Fearless living

Fearless living is meant for all the children of God. Also for you. If fears still try to steal your joy in the Lord, pray, without ceasing. Whenever a fear emerges, dump it at the foot of the cross right away. You don’t have to entertain it or house it. Fear visits us all but we just need to kick it to the curb right away. And keep repeating as often as needed. Even our enemy will eventually get the picture.

You are to live free in God’s love and grace. Not by your own power but by God’s grace. Experience the power of it and be amazed. You can conquer your fears and live boldly when you are empowered by God’s grace and blessed by the peace of God.

Fearless living is nothing but leaning on Omnipotence. Embrace it as your way of living and boldness, joy, and peace will follow you all the days of your life. Talk about spiritual well-being, right?

Gracious God,
You’re more than we can imagine,
we thank you and praise you for it.
We come to you empty-handed, stained, and fearful.
Forgive us, Lord, we have sinned, cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Pour out grace upon grace, peace upon peace.
Make us bold and fearless, Lord.
Teach us how to live free in your love and grace.
Bless us, guide us, empower us.
We want to be yours now and forever.
