Soak Up Every Moment with God
Do you believe that God loves you? Sometimes we believe it in our head but not in our heart. Yet truly believing this deep down is essential for our spiritual well-being. Only then we want to hang out with God. And that’s how we grow in faith. That’s how we can experience God’s smile upon us. So let’s learn to soak up every moment with God.
God told them, “I’ve never quit loving you and never will.
Expect love, love, and more love!
(Jeremiah 31:3, MSG,*)
Soak up every moment with God
Why should we soak up every moment with God? What’s the big deal about it? When we learn to bask in God’s love, we can experience God’s presence and power in our lives. We can experience faith as it was meant to be. Faith is not about following rules and regulations. It is about receiving God’s gracious gifts and cherishing every moment we spend with God.
We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. (1 John 4:16, NLT,*)
A.W. Tozer has written ‘He meant us to see Him and live with Him and draw our life from His smile’. We are indeed meant to draw our life from God’s unending love. When we truly believe we are cherished children of God, we are drawn to spend more time with our smiling Father. That’s where we are filled with love, joy, grace, peace, and all the good things we need.
As we soak up every moment with God, we are empowered to live in love. The more we soak in God’s smiles, the more we are able to smile on others. How blessed we are to have such an awesome and loving God who wants to spend time with us and shower gifts on us. There’s no reason not to soak up every moment with God!
Let us pray
Gracious God,
Thank you, thank you, thank you
for loving us without hesitation.
Please, do continue to smile upon us.
We want to bask in your love.
Fill us with your best gifts
so we can love and serve you
wherever we go.
Be praised forever and ever.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
