Isn’t it amazing how God blesses us for merely following his guidance? You see, I felt God nudging me to do this random “Message in a Bottle” giveaway so I put it in the motion awhile back. Little did I know that this little giveaway would bless me so much. And I hope you will be blessed too.
Crystal won the giveaway and she requested that I would send the message in the bottle to his cousin’s wife, Lisa Greshko, whose breast cancer had returned. I knew she was a sister in Christ so I prayed for five days that God would give me the right words for her. This is what I finally wrote:
Dear Lisa,God wants you to know that He loves you more than you can ever know. You are very, very dear to Him. He knows you inside and out and He also knows you’re going through some rough times right now. God’s heart rejoices to see how you lean on him and draw your strength from him. God wants you to know that he won’t let you down. He will always be with you and he will keep all his promises to you. Do not get discouraged or dismayed for God is always with you.“For the mountains may departand the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall notdepart from you,and my covenant of peace shall not be removed
says the Lord who has compassion on you.”Healing angels and abundant blessings,
I felt good to have listened to God and mailed the bottle to Florida. Sure, I was interested to hear if the bottle would really reach Lisa through mail. But little did I know that I would be so blessed to get to know Lisa and hear her amazing story of God’s goodness in the midst of hardships.
Lisa writes: “For sure I can praise him that my medical coverage is under Obamacare and working. Also I would give Him praise that one of the most effective drugs on the market for my kind of cancer (VERY expensive) is being made available to me possibly even at the expense of the pharmaceutical company. They are willing to cover the cost just to get approval from the insurance industry. Only God can do that kind of coverage!”
Lisa talks about how God has been with her every step of the way. How God is good all the time! How the right doctors, surgeons and procedures have been available. How her family and friends have been supportive. How busy God has been working all these things for her.
I think she is right. God is busy at work for all of us. God is good all the time!
If only we saw God’s goodness like Lisa!
If only we continued to smile like Lisa!
If only we praised God like Lisa!
If only we gave all glory to God like Lisa!
If only we trusted God like Lisa!
I think you start seeing why I feel blessed by getting to know Lisa. She is a mighty woman of God. But she does need our prayers. Would you, please, pray for her as she continues to fight this cancer? Thank you!
We pray today for Lisa
whom you love very much.
Thank you for being busy at her life.
We pray that you continue your work
in her, for her, around her and through her.
Cover her with your healing grace.
Send ministering angels to her.
Heal her, bless her according to your will.
And enable all of us to see you at work in and around us.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Q4U: What’s your message to Lisa? Or ask her about the benefits of the laser surgery! She’d be happy to share her knowledge with you!
Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you continue your journey of faith praising God all of your days!
