Do U Need a Little TLC?
How are you doing? Do you need a little TLC? Once in awhile we all need a little TLC. Fortunately, God specializes in giving us tender loving care. So, we are in good hands. God has promised to take care of us until the end of the world:
Jesus came near and spoke to them, “I’ve received all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I’ve commanded you. Look, I myself will be with you every day until the end of this present age.” (Matthew 28: 18-20, CEB)
We can count on God’s promises. No matter how we feel, God is faithful. God will always be there, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age. All we need to do is to cling to Jesus. He did not leave us defenseless, he send the Holy Spirit to us (Luke 24:49).
Through the Holy Spirit we are connected to God in prayer.
Through the Holy Spirit God cares for us.
Through the Holy Spirit God (re)empowers us for living.
Be glad in the Lord always! Again I say, be glad! Let your gentleness show in your treatment of all people. The Lord is near. Don’t be anxious about anything; rather bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks. Then the peace of God that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4: 4-7, CEB)
So, whenever you feel that you are in need of little TLC, take a pause and pray hard. God will wrap you up in his tender, loving care. Before you know it, a wonderful sense of God’s wholeness will come and settle you down. God wants good things for us. God wants to give us life and more life. Let’s not hide our dysfunctions from him but bring everything than disturbs our peace to him and let him give us as much TLC as we need. God adores to love us and care for us!
Gracious God,
Be praised for your lovingkindness!
Be praised for your amazing TLC!
We come to you weary & exhausted.
We bring to you our dysfunctions.
Heal us with your love, grace, & mercy.
Restore our souls & bless us!
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

God’s TLC often come in the small things…a devotion I needed to read at that moment, a friend speaking God’s truth to me, God meeting a need that I hadn’t bothered to ask about. It is always such a special reminder that I am special to Him.
