Sometimes, when the storms of life get scarier or the world around us gets darker, we might think God has forgotten us. We might think God is not in control anymore. But I have good news for you, God is still at work. He is as mighty as ever and plans to see you through whatever you’re facing or whatever is going to happen in this world. How do I know this? The Bible tells us so.

Say to those with fearful hearts,
“Be strong, and do not fear,
for your God is coming to destroy your enemies.
He is coming to save you.”

(Isaiah 35:4, NLT)

and

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

(Isaiah 41:10, NLT)

Write these verses down so whenever you start doubting or feel discouraged, they may lift you up and remind you of God’s goodness. Because God is more powerful than you can hope. God is more awesome than you can imagine.

God is still at work

All the promises of the Bible are valid also when you struggle. So hold on to those promises. And start living like you truly believe them. Then you will see the amazing difference they can make in your life.

My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
    but God remains the strength of my heart;
    he is mine forever.

(Psalm 73:26, NLT)

So, even though you might be sick, depressed or you might be otherwise troubled, rest assured, you are not ever left alone. God will always show up. Christ is not afraid of your troubles or weaknesses, he will be with you. Count on this and rejoice always. The less there is of you, the more you have of Christ. And that’s blessed existence.

Truly, God is still at work. If you struggle with believing this, ask for more faith. God is always happy to give more faith and more hope. We were not left to manage our lives alone, he wants to be there every step of the way.

So let him provide you with everything you need whether it is wisdom, guidance, or his amazing power. That’s what I do daily. I surrender to him and ask for his strength and his help in all I do. And he never disappoints. There’s new mercy every morning. And that’s more than enough. Try it and find all you need in Jesus.

Dear God,
Thank you for being our sustainer, our everything.
We love you and we praise you.
Help us to remember you’re all we need.
Trusting doesn’t always come easy but thankfully you’re always there to give us more faith, and more hope.
Fill us with your grace and peace as we struggle through our days.
Show us how good we truly have with you.
Be praised from everlasting to everlasting.
In Jesus’ precious name,
Amen

P.S.

Keep on practicing good faith habits (reading the Bible, spending time in prayer, attending church and Bible studies), they will protect you when you have an off day. God is with you even when you don’t feel like it. Just ask for grace upon grace and you will receive it. Alone we are just empty shells, but when filled with the Holy Spirit, we are full of faith. And that’s the way to go. Alone we won’t make it but when empowered by God’s grace, we can dance through life into God’s arms. Be blessed, my friend. You are loved and blessed beyond belief!
