Another Day of Grace
Another month of social distancing has started, how are you doing? Despite everything, I’m doing very well, thank you. I’ve chosen to live in grace and bask in God’s love and that has not changed. It’s the best way to live, social distancing or not because then I’m ready for anything. Without God, I can do nothing. With God, I can do anything. So, another day of grace is here, it’s an invitation to live it fully with Jesus.
May all those who seek You [as life’s first priority] rejoice and be glad in You; May those who love Your salvation say continually, “Let God be magnified!” (Psalm 70:4, AMP,*)
I understand if you’re stressed out or confused or frustrated. It takes a lot to adjust to this new way of living. But the most important thing in our life, Jesus, is still there, actively pursuing us. When we remember this and seek him in return, we are truly blessed. We don’t need to know what happens in the future when we know the One who holds the future.
Another day of grace
Sure, it’d be wonderful to know when the coronavirus can be beaten. My family is scheduled to move to Ethiopia for a year of mission work in August. Only God knows if that can happen now. So, sure, I do know what it feels like when your plans are up in the air. Yet I choose to celebrate Jesus in the midst of the unknown. Even now each day is a gift from God, another day of grace to seek and find God and enjoy his presence.
Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
(Isaiah 55:6, NIV,*)
Today is another day of grace, a day when we can embrace God’s grace and be blessed. As long as I can live with Jesus, I am fine. And so are you. All is well when we are in Jesus. No ifs or buts. But certainty, peace, and bountiful of reasons to praise God Almighty who loves us beyond measure.
Gracious God,
Thank you for always being there for us, pursuing us and welcoming us into your arms.
We love you and we surrender to you everything, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Please, send the cure to Covid19, Lord.
Bless and protect especially the most vulnerable around the world.
Empower us for hope-filled living also during this time os social distancing.
Fill us with your Spirit, power, love, and grace.
Use us for Your glory.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
