My Ten Favorite Quotes by Reinhard Bonnke

My Ten Favorite Quotes by Reinhard Bonnke

I’ve always thought faith is an adventure. So I shouldn’t have been surprised that the autobiography of Reinhard Bonnke, Living a Life of Fire, read like a suspense novel, it was that exciting to read how the Holy Spirit worked in and through him. Reinhard Bonnke, ‘the Billy Graham to Africa’, has gone home to Jesus on the 7th of December 2019. So I decided to share my ten favorite quotes by him. I hope they will both inspire and challenge you on your faith journey!

My ten favorite quotes by Reinhard Bonnke

“When you do business with people you need money. When you do business with God you need faith. Faith is the currency of the Kingdom of God.”

“You have faith stories, too. No matter how small, remember them, recite them, count them, and celebrate them. They build your faith for what is coming next in your life.”

“Jesus did not call them—or you and me—to ditch their smiles and to wear sackcloth. His mission was not to turn people into “stick-in-the-muds.” Jesus Himself was not very conventional! The disciples caught His infectious spirit, one that would challenge the stuffy establishment. He showed them new things, especially faith and love, by which, they would conquer the world.”

“We are agents of omnipotence. This means that unlimited power is at our fingertips. It also means that there are no great men working in God’s Kingdom. Rather, there is a great God at work in human beings who have childlike faith.”

“Faith…needs to be matched with action. Belief is not just brain cells in motion. It demands a response. Do we do what we believe? If we believe in a seed, we plant it.”

“Anyone can believe when God is already moving. But real faith is when you step out when it seems that God is not moving.”

“People in obedience to the Lord do not worry, do not fret, do not need to know all of the outcomes before they are willing to commit themselves.”

“We are not helping people to get God right, but to get right with God. The Holy Spirit alone opens hearts and minds.”

“What use is it going to one prayer meeting after another to pray for power if you never do anything that needs power, or your prayers are steeped in disobedience and unbelief? Faith does not come by logic. Remember the feeding of the 5,000? Miracles flow only through hands that distribute bread. Faith and obedience is the vehicle, which carries believers – even timid ones – into the miracle zone.”

“It is worth it to serve the Lord, young people. It is worth it, it is worth it, it is worth it a million times.”

It is indeed worth it. Let’s find out what faith adventures God has planned for each of us.

Let us pray

Dear God,
Thank you for being more than we can imagine.
Help us to live according to your promises and resources and not our own.
Fill us with the Holy Spirit and use us for your glory.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
