Strength in God
I presume every person on earth would like to be blessed or favored or happy. Too often we look for happiness in the wrong places. We don’t realize happy are those whose strength is in God (and not even those who seem to be strong or successful on their own). I can attest to that. As long as I am looking for strength in myself, I am not happy. There’s not much to build on in me, you know. But when I look for strength in God, I am blessed indeed.
Blessed are those whose strength is in you…They go from strength to strength. (Psalm 84:5,7; NIV)

God gives us strength to believe and obey. God even gives us strength to suffer. And when we keep on trusting God despite everything, God will come through to us. When God’s ways are ours, we are blessed even in the middle of a valley of tears. Leaning on s

When God is in us and we are in God, we are blessed indeed. Then we can go from strength to strength. Because God has plenty of strength to share and for many different purposes.
Way too often we underestimate the power of God. But God’s power is not human power. It’s divine power to save and sustain. And we can trust God’s power to provide us every strength we ever need. We can rest in him and rejoice in him, even in the middle of valleys of weeping and sorrow.
Gracious God.
Thank you for being our strength.
Forgive us for forgetting or
otherwise omitting your strength.
Show us what it is to live in your strength.
Shower us with your blessings.
Show us how glorious your presence really is.
