The Sweetest Place on Earth
Are you aware of a place where you can be restored, renewed, and recharged? We all need such places in our lives. Our lives are so hectic these days that we need places where we can rest and rejuvenate. Even more important is to know a place where we can be spiritually restored, renewed, and recharged. And we should know how to get into that place whenever we feel like it. Do you know how to get to the sweetest place on earth?
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
(Psalm 91:1, NIV)
We are called to dwell in God, to make God’s presence the sweetest place on earth for us. It’s the intimate spot in our spirit where we meet with God, where we are restored, renewed, and recharged. And it’s where we are always met with open arms and unconditional love. In this dwelling place, we get to truly know God. And, very slowly, just by being in God’s presence, we are also transformed into Christ’s likeness.
The sweetest place on earth
Be to me a rock of refuge and a sheltering stronghold to which I may continually come;
You have given the commandment to save me,
For You are my rock and my fortress.
(Psalm 71:3, AMP)
Sure, it takes practice to learn to dwell in God’s presence without hurry. But we can learn to do it. So whenever you feel low, enter into God’s presence. And whenever you’re exhausted, rest in Him. When we learn to just be in God’s presence, we have found the sweetest place on earth. Blessedly, there we will always receive what we need. God wants to give more than the bare minimum. God wants to give himself to us. And in him we have everything, he is the source of all the good things, after all. In him, we have light and life, renewal and restoration, peace and joy, love and grace. So, be surrounded by Love. Filled with grace. Be restored, renewed, and recharged.
Thank you for being a sheltering stronghold for us,
thank you for providing us the sweetest place on earth.
Draw us to you, Lord.
Enable us to seek your presence.
Thank you for meeting us just as we are
and giving us all we need and more.
Be praised forever and ever.
In Jesus’ name,
Q4U: Do you know how to get to the sweetest place on earth?
Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you learn to dwell in God’s presence!
