How to Deal with Uncertainties
We claim to trust God yet we don’t act like it. We stress about everything when we could pray and trust God to solve all the matters that bother us. Sometimes I’m better with uncertainties, sometimes I catch myself wishing for a security cushion against the world instead of praying for God’s will and protection. What about you? How do you deal with uncertainties?
I have tried all kind of tricks to deal with uncertainties but I have found only one that works: God’s grace which works in mysterious ways for sure. As a necessity, it opens our spiritual eyes to see how we are chained to money and logic. And then grace breaks our bondage to these things. Money does not bring happiness or security, no matter how logical it’d seem.
How to deal with uncertainties
For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
The Lord bestows grace and favor and honor;
No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
(Psalm 84:11, AMP)
Also, grace enables us to trust God even when there is no reason to trust. To believe when there is no reason to believe. And to live on the basis of what God can do, not on the basis what we can or cannot do. It is tough, it is hard, it is difficult. But when we do this, when we press on even when we can’t understand what is happening, we will be surprised by God’s grace.
And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (Romans 8:28, AMP)
God will be there every step of the way. Everything works for the good of those who believe. God will fulfill his promises and impossibilities will become realities. Hence we press on, we pray hard, and we trust and wait for God to take care of us.
Gracious God,
Forgive us for not trusting you completely.
Thank you for being patient with us.
Give us grace upon grace, faith upon faith.
Teach us to trust you and allow you to work freely in us.
Lavish us with your love and care, we truly need you.
In Jesus’ precious name,
Amen

I deal with uncertainties by reading Flowing Faith! Seriously. When I’m in the middle of a battle is when I like to read things like your blog (devotional?) I find these mini sermons help to remind me to trust God and His word. David encouraged himself, and this is how I encourage myself. Thank you for your faithfulness. You’ve help me more than I can express in a comment section. Lord bless.
Thank you so much, Michelle, for your encouraging words. I appreciate them more than you know. And, yes, we need to remind ourselves/be reminded of God’s goodness regularly. Otherwise, we forget what is really important. May God continue to bless you richly!
