Fear-free Future with God
Are you afraid of the future? You don’t have to be. Of course, it’s easier said than lived out but I truly believe it and try to live according to that belief too. Certainly, the future is scary if we face it all alone. But if we live our lives with God, there is nothing to be afraid of. Here are some verses and thoughts for a fear-free future.
There is surely a future hope for you,
and your hope will not be cut off.
(Proverbs 23:18, NIV,*)
Fear-free future with God
In order to embrace a fear-free future with God, we need to know God is trustworthy. You might not get instant answers or things are not going like you’d want them. But Father God is looking after you. All the prophecies in the Bible about Jesus came true. He came to take away our sins and went back to his Father to prepare the place for us. And he will come again.
So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:28, NIV,*)
Nothing can scare us when we know everything will end well. And we don’t have to wait for a fear-free future until the other side. Jesus did not leave us alone to struggle here on earth. He gave us the Holy Spirit to comfort, guide, protect us in the midst of storms.
The Lord of Storms
When we embrace the fact the Holy Spirit is the Lord of Storms, we can relax and take the future as it comes. Because God is in control of all the storms in our lives, we can start living fear-free. The Spirit of Grace and Peace is the Lord of everything. We are safe in his hands. No matter how high the waves are, we are protected. And no matter how crazy the world around us gets, we are fine. Because the Spirit of God is the Lord of all.
If we trust God, we do not need to worry and a fear-free future becomes reality. Instead, we can use our time to worship. And worship changes everything for better. We can’t explain it how it happens but it does. Worship, thanksgiving, and praise bring heaven onto earth, into our lives and keeps it there. When we keep the Spirit of Grace and peace in our heart, we are protected against the most vicious storms there can be. The Lord of Storms is our loving Father. How wonderful is that!
You are beyond wonderful.
Whatever we need, you provide.
No matter what is our problem, you are the answer.
You are there before we know we need you.
And you’re preparing everything for us before we knew we needed them.
Lord, we praise you, we love you.
You are more than need and way more than we deserve.
But we receive your blessings with open arms.
Thank you for sending Jesus to die for our sins
and thank you for sending us the Holy Spirit to help us while we wait for Jesus’ return.
Bless us according to your plan for each of us.
Ready us for Jesus’ return.
In Jesus’ name,
Q4U: Are you afraid of the future? Or do you trust your future to God to live fear-free?
Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you choose the fear-free future with God!

I wrote about fear in my #fmf prompt too, Mari-Anna. Drawing closer to God helps me hope for a brighter future. #17 this week at #fmf
Yes, people seem to be more fearful these days. We do need God to give us hope. Blessedly, He has a huge supply of fresh hope to give everyone who asks for it. Glad to be your neighbor, Sarah. Blessings to you!
Nice. Wonderful blog! I am happy to say I have peace with God, work on trusting Him and do not fear for the future … but I do have my weak days … :o)
Don’t we all? Thankfully, God is always ready to pour out more hope upon us. Thank you for your kind words, Rachel. There’s nothing like peace with God. Hope-filled blessings to you!
