God Collects Special Things
Do you collect something? I collect angels and cobalt blue glass. Usually we collect something that is precious to us. I love angels and feel that cobalt blue is the colour of my soul. Do you know that God collects some things too? They must be something really precious, right?
You keep track of all my sorrows.
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book.
My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help.
This I know: God is on my side!
(Psalm 56:8-9, NLT, emphasis added,*)
God collects tears
God collects your tears. They are special. You are special. God is on your side. All the time. Especially when you’re crying your heart out and in need of tender loving care. Rest in him. Bask in his love.
And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people. (Rev. 5:8 NLT,*)
God collects prayers
God collects also your prayers. They are special too. Our prayers matter. Hence never underestimate the power of prayer. Never neglect to pray. Because prayer is eternal. It connects us with God. And it changes things. For better.
Maybe we should start collecting the same things as God? Tears and prayers of God’s people.
Gracious God,
Thank you for loving us so deeply.
Thank you for collecting our tears
and embracing us when we are weakest.
Thank you for collecting our prayers
and inviting us to be part of what you’re doing.
Come and change us, Lord.
May we all see the world how you see it.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Q4U:Do you feel precious and special because God collects your tears and prayers?
Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you embrace what God collects: tears and prayers of God’s people!

Wow, it’s awesome how God works. He collects our tears and prayers. I also wrote about my tears today. Thanks.
Yes, God is awesome. Thanks for stopping by, Catherine! Blessings to you!
What great encouragement. Our Daddy collecting our tears and prayers like a parent collecting their children’s artwork from school. How loved we are! how valued! Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for catching the idea behind the post. We are indeed beloved children of God! Thanks so much for your kind words, Sherry. God bless you!
That He collects tears is enough for me now, for I have forgotten how to cry. And I need to; it’s a killing need.
If you’re interested in the genesis for this – I am at #1 at FMF this week.

Thank you, Andrew, for sharing. Sounds like you need some serious TLC by God Almighty. May God comfort you and bless you richly!
You’ve got that right, Mari-Anna. I’m hurting. Bad.
Praying for you, Andrew. God is right there with you.
Tears and prayers, Oh how precious. Not one drop of either is ever wasted. Thank you.
Yes, it is precious. Thank you, Mary. God’s sweet blessings to you!
Lovely. I referenced this Scripture today too. I so agree with you on the importance of prayer. Visiting from FMF#41
Thanks, Patricia. I love that Scripture! Yes, the more prayer the better. Abundant blessings to you!
I’ve always liked that verse, knowing He collects our tears, and that they are precious to Him. I hadn’t thought about the fact that He collects our prayers, too. What a sweet thought. I want to give Him more to collect as I know I fall short in that area.
Yes, it is wonderful to know none of our prayers go wasted. The more we can pray the better. Glad to know you were inspired. Blessings to you, Donna! Thank you for commenting!
