People of the Presence of the Holy Spirit

People of the Presence of the Holy Spirit

people of the presence of the Holy Spirit

One of my favorite quotes is this one by William Blake: “I myself do nothing. The Holy Spirit accomplishes all through me.” That’s what being a Christian means. It’s not about me or my (in)abilities. It’s about God and his abilities in and through me.

People of the presence of the Holy Spirit do not need to be afraid of anything. People of the presence of the Holy Spirit does not need to bow to devil’s temptations or believe devil’s accusations of inadequacies or any other lies he wants us to believe to be unproductive or fearful. People of the presence of the Holy Spirit are blessed by God’s continual presence.

Stand up, people of the presence of the Holy Spirit!

We are free to live God’s way.
We are free to proceed full-speed with our callings.
We are free to be made holy and act holy because our God is holy!

Because we are people of the presence of the Holy Spirit let’s let ourselves to be pulled into a way of life shaped by God’s life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness!

So roll up your sleeves, put your mind in gear, be totally ready to receive the gift that’s coming when Jesus arrives. Don’t lazily slip back into those old grooves of evil, doing just what you feel like doing. You didn’t know any better then; you do now. As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God’s life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness. God said, “I am holy; you be holy.” (1 Peter 1:12-14)

Let’s pray with the words of Augustine:

Breath in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy.
Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy.
Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy.
Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy.
Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: Do you dare to boldly claim your rights as a child of God?

Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you claim your rights as a child of God! Dare to believe!

  1. We share a favorite quote from Blake…I’ve written about it often. Oh, to be one of the ”
