Weekend Prayer Wall {Mar.31-Apr.1}

On days when life is difficult and I feel overwhelmed, as I do fairly often, it helps to remember in my prayers that all God requires of me is to trust Him and be His friend. I find I can do that. ~Bruce Larson

Great grief prays with great earnestness. Prayer is not a collection of balanced phrases; it is the pouring out of the soul. What is love if it be not fiery? What are prayers if the heart be not ablaze? They are the battles of the soul. In them men wrestle with principalities and powers…The prayer that prevails is not the work of lips and fingertips. It is the cry of a broken heart and the travail of a stricken soul. ~Samuel Chadwick

But me? My prayer reaches you, LORD,
   at just the right time.
God, in your great and faithful love,
answer me with your certain salvation!
(Psalm 69:13, CEB)

Offer prayers and petitions in the Spirit all the time. Stay alert by hanging in there and praying for all believers. (Eph. 6:18, CEB)

Lord, by this sweet and saving sign,
Defend us from our foes and thine.

Jesus, by thy wounded feet,
Direct our path aright:
Jesus, by thy nailed hands,
Move ours to deeds of love:
Jesus, by thy pierced side,
Cleanse our desires:
Jesus, by thy crown of thorns,
Annihilate our pride:
Jesus, by the silence,
Shame our complaints:
Jesus, by thy parched lips,
Curb our cruel speech:
Jesus, by thy closing eyes,
Look on our sin no more:
Jesus, by thy broken heart,
Knit ours to thee.

And by this sweet and saving sign,
Lord, draw us to our peace and thine.
~Richard Crashaw (1613-49)

Lord,
I give up all my own plans and purposes,
all my own desires and hopes,
and accept Thy will for my life.
I give myself, my life,
my all utterly to Thee to be Thine forever.
Fill me and seal me with Thy Holy Spirit.
Use me as Thou wilt.
Send me where Thou wilt.
Work out Thy whole will in my life at any cost,
now and forever.
~Betty Scott Stam

  1. I ask for prayer for my Mother.  She is 97 and in an Alzheimer’s Center where I work, which is a blessing!  She has great faith in God. Mamma’s left hip is broken and we’re not doing surgery.  We are managing her pain with comfort care.  Pray that God will ease any pain for her.  She’s ready to see Him when He’s ready.  Thank you.

    1. Dear God.
We bring to you Janet and her mother. You know them and love them. Thank you! We ask now that you would ease any pain of Janet’s Mother. Send healing grace to her. Surround her and Janet with your divine peace. May Your will happen in both of their lives and ready them for temporary goodbyes. Thank you that you take care of them both. Send angels to minister to them according to their needs. Thank you! In Jesus’ name, Amen

    2. Thank you, Father, that Janet has the blessing of being able to work and provide care where her mother lives.  I pray that you ease her mom’s pain and help her to rest in you.  Thank you that she already has a relationship with you and knows where she will be when you call her home!  Strengthen Janet as she comes alongside her mother during this time.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

  2. Praying for world peace and for all the children in the world especially the ones who have fallen victim to such evilness that abounds.

  3.  I’d like to request prayer for my mental health and for my financial situation as well. Thanks.

    1. Dear God, we pray for Angela and her well-being. Send her healing grace. Wrap her in your peaceful love and surround her with spiritually healthy brothers and sisters. Balance her mental health and send her angels to minister her according to her needs. We also pray for her financial situation. Take care of her holistically. Bless her beyond her wildest dreams. Thank you! In Jesus’ name, Amen

  4.  For our financial situation, and all those who are struggling to make ends met. For all the children that they would find love and hope and know that they are Loved by God. It would be such a blessing to win a CEB right now. It would help us in our Christian Walk.

    1. Dear God,
Nothing is to small or too big to bring you. Also Jesus taught us to pray for our daily bread. So we ask that you will bring faithfully daily bread for Lisa and her family and all the families who struggle to make ends meet. You know what needs to be done, Lord. We ask that you supernaturally help Lisa and her family. Thank you, Jesus, that your are in control of this situation. Let them feel your strong presence in their daily walk with you. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  5. Our friend was treated because of cancer for many years and sometimes seemed he became healthy and sometimes the disease returned. During the last few weeks his situation got worse and he called us asking prayer. We planned to visit him and his family this Palm Sunday. We planned to have a Holy Communion together and pray for his healing by anointing him. However, this morning we got a phone call from his son. Our dear friend had passed away early this morning.
Pray for his family and his loved ones: wife and grown up children and their families. Ask God to comfort them and strenghten their faith to endure this sorrow. Thank you!

    1. He was led to Christ in the 1970’s by my wife. he was the one, who moved my newly wedded wife’s belongings to my hometown with his jeep. I remember the jeep packed inside and outside – what a sight! I lived in Rauma (Mari-Anna’s hometown) that time. Our dear friend is now there with the Lord.

    2.  We have lost dear family members to the Bad C, you & your friends family are in my prayers for comfort & blessings

    3. Dear God,
We thank you for the life of this saint. But his family and friends are mourning. Surround them with your comforting presence. Strengthen the voice of the eternity in them so that their hope in meeting their loved one again at Jesus’ feet would be enlarged and bring them healing. Let them all experience this holy week in a special way and find endless joy in resurrection. Send grace upon grace, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen
