Old But Up to Date
Put your nose into the Bible everyday. It is your spiritual food. And then share it. Make a vow not to be a lukewarm Christian. (Kirk Cameron)
This quote urges everyone to reach for their Bibles and then turn to others with the Good News of Jesus Christ. The Bible really is our spiritual food. Through the Holy Bible God still speaks to us. It is old but it is always up to date. Because it is the living word of God. More we study it, more we love it. Don’t go spiritually starving! The feast is waiting!
God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what.(Hebrews 4:12-13. MSG)
Gracious God,
Thank you for the gift of the living word.
Draw us more and more into studying the Bible.
Speak to us! Show us your way!
Open our ears to hear and eyes to see you.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim! Grab your Bible and let the word of God abundantly bless you!
