Hope Restored

Hope Restored

Today I am going to share with you six different quotes on hope. I hope and pray that your spirit will be lifted and your hope will be restored! Which one of the quotes is your favorite? Why?

To live without Hope is to Cease to live. (Fyodor Dostoevsky)

Just as the sinner’s despair of any hope from himself is the first prerequisite of a sound conversion, so the loss of all confidence in himself is the first essential in the believer’s growth in grace. (A.W.Pink)

In our sad condition our only consolation is the expectancy of another life. (Martin Luther)

Jesus gives us hope because He keeps us company, has a vision and knows the way we should go. (Max Lucado)

Hope fills the afflicted soul with such inward joy and consolation, that it can laugh while tears are in the eye, sigh and sing all in a breath; it is called “The rejoicing of hope.” (William Gurnall)

The hope that God has provided for you is not merely a wish. Neither is it dependent on other people, possessions, or circumstances for its validity. Instead, biblical hope is an application of your faith that supplies a confident expectation in God’s fulfillment of His promises. Coupled with faith and love, hope is part of the abiding characteristics in a believer’s life. (John C. Broger)

Gracious God,
Thank you for promising us abundant life and future in you.
Help us to believe and embrace all of your promises.
Restore our hope, lift our spirits.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
We praise you for being our eternal hope.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Q4U: Which one of the quotes spoke to you and why?
