How to Integrate Resurrection into Our Lives
I love spring and the joy of Easter season. I think all Christians do. But how could we bring this joy, this power into our everyday life? So that we could continue to live joyfully and freely as we are meant to do. This is the million dollar question. How can we integrate resurrection into our lives?
Even though too many still think so, salvation is not just about getting into heaven. With the words of Randy Clark: “Jesus died so that we could spend an eternity with Him in Heaven, and so that we could live with His Spirit operating inside of us on the earth. His sacrifice did more than forgive you, it empowered you.”
Did you catch it? Jesus’ sacrifice did more than forgive you. The resurrection power also empowers us for victorious living. God’s powerful grace is at our disposal. Yes. Believe it. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is for us who believe in him.
I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. (Eph.1:19-20, NLT)
How to integrate resurrection into our lives
Why don’t we then let it permeate every inch of our inner beings? Too many Christians just don’t know how to integrate resurrection into their lives. The main thing is to know that we need God and his power to overcome. Paul David Tripp puts it this way: “Live today in the power of the resurrection, power to say “no” to what leads to death and the power to say “yes” to what gives life.”
We are indeed to live in the power of the resurrection. And we do that when we ask for God’s power to guide us and empower us to be able to say “no” to things that bring death into our lives and say “yes” to new life-giving opportunities.
God’s grace is our power and we are more than welcome to use it for our good and God’s glory. If we don’t do it we are not doing any favors to God, quite the opposite. Without God’s grace, we wither but with it, we blossom.
Because of the resurrection of Jesus, the choice is ours. And we need to make it anew every morning. Choose wisely, choose Jesus and life upon life.
We welcome you and
the power of resurrection into our lives.
Thank you salvation is even more than heaven.
Pour out grace upon grace, fill us to the brim.
Empower us for victorious and bold living.
In Jesus’ name,
Q4U: Do you live in the power of the resurrection? What are you best tips?
Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, as you integrate resurrection into your life!
