This Is the Stuff
It’s Melodic Monday! Today we are reminded by Franscesca Battistelli‘s song This is the stuff what is important in life. It urges us to focus on God and not on stuff. It urges us to count our blessings not our troubles. Not a bad way to start our work week! Especially with such an upbeat tempo! Listen and be blessed!
I lost my keys in the great unknown
And call me please ‘Cuz I can’t find my phone
This is the stuff that drives me crazy
This is the stuff that’s getting to me lately
In the middle of my little mess
I forget how big I’m blessed
This is the stuff that gets under my skin
But I gotta trust You know exactly what You’re doing
It might not be what I would choose
But this is the stuff You use
45 in a 35
Sirens and fines while I’m running behind
Whoa
This is the stuff that drives me crazy
This is the stuff that’s getting to me lately
In the middle of my little mess
I forget how big I’m blessed
This is the stuff that gets under my skin
But I gotta trust You know exactly what You’re doing
It might not be what I would choose
But this is the stuff You use
So break me of impatience
Conquer my frustrations
I’ve got a new appreciation
It’s not the end of the world
Oh Oh Oh
This is the stuff that drives me crazy
This is the stuff
Someone save me
In the middle of my little mess
I forget how big I’m blessed
This is the stuff that gets under my skin
And I’ve gotta trust You know exactly what You’re doing
It might not be what I would choose
But this is the stuff You use
Oh Oh Oh Oh
This is the stuff You use
Gracious God,
Help us to turn away from stuff.
Help us to turn to you for happiness.
Open our eyes to see what’s important.
Enable us to be true to you and ourselves.
Show us how to live out our faith
in the middle of stuff.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Be blessed, my fellow pilgrim, on your faith journey. If you ask God will teach you how to live the Jesus way in the middle of stuff.
Q4U: What is the stuff that gets between you and God?

Oh, there are so many things that get between me and God. One of them is shiny and black and I'm typing on it right now…
This song is innocence…proof that God can use anything/anyone …He makes us all aware of true significance thru sweet, insignificant things. I love the lightheartedness of this song/lyrics!
Thank you for chiming in, Rachel! I agree, it is very easy to fill up our lives with stuff. Thank God for calling our names day after day and never giving up on us! Abundant blessings!
Thanks, Nancy, for your wise words. God bless you!
In the middle of my little mess I forget how big I'm blessed! Congo line girls… woohoo – I'll lead!
That's great, Colleen! Thank you for joining in! Blessings!
